Local SEO & Google Business Profile

Your Google Business Profile is what appears on the map when somebody searches for a service near them. This is claiming it, getting it verified and filling it out properly, plus the work on your own site so the two tell the same story.

What it includes

Claiming and verifying the profile (by video, postcard or phone, depending on what Google is asking for that month), including the mess of recovering a listing set up by a previous agency.
Duplicate listings cleared and merge requests filed when two versions of your business are floating about.
Primary and secondary categories chosen by checking what the businesses already ranking in your area use.
The profile filled out in full: services listed one by one, attributes, opening hours including bank holidays and special hours, a service area if customers don't come to your address, and booking or contact links.
A description written to be read rather than to hold keywords, and photos uploaded with deliberate filenames and ordering.
Name, address and phone number made consistent across your site, the listing and the directories you already appear in.
LocalBusiness structured data on your site carrying the same details as the listing, and a contact page with the address as text.
The profile's own statistics explained: calls, direction requests, discovery searches against direct ones, and what to look at each month.
A short script for asking customers for reviews without incentivising them, and a line to take when replying to them.

How I approach it

Look before touching anything

I search for your business the way a customer would, on a phone and on the map. Something usually turns up: an old listing, an address from three moves ago, a phone number that stopped working. That has to be claimed or merged first, because creating a fresh listing on top of it only makes things worse.

Fill it in completely, not to 60%

Most listings are half done: a category picked by guesswork, no services listed, four photos from 2019. I fill every field Google offers for your type of business, in the order it weights them, and leave a note of what went in and why.

Make the site and the listing agree

Google cross-checks. If the listing says "Avenida" and your site says "Avda.", if the phone number carries a country code in one place and not the other, you are handing it reasons to doubt. I line up name, address and phone across your site, the listing and the directories you are already on.

Leave you something you can keep up

A listing rots if nobody touches it: bank holiday hours, new photos, reviews left unanswered. You get a fifteen-minute monthly routine and a walkthrough of the statistics, so you can tell whether it's working without ringing me.

What it doesn't include

I don't buy or generate reviews, and I don't build systems to filter out the bad ones. It breaks Google's rules and it ends up costing you the listing.
I can't make you appear in the three-result map block. That depends partly on where the person searching is physically standing.
I don't run Google Ads or local ad campaigns.
If your business has neither a physical address nor a defined service area, Google won't verify you and this isn't the right service.

Indicative price

From €250, one-off, before IGIC. It's the cheapest thing I do and it's usually the sensible first move if you have never touched your SEO. If you then want posts, review monitoring and monthly work on the map, that sits in a retainer from €650 a month with no lock-in. Both are on Pricing.

Tell me what you sell and where you want people to find you. Fifteen minutes on a call is usually enough for me to say whether this is worth your money or whether I'd be selling you something you don't need. WhatsApp is the easiest place to start; the number is +34 687 367 397 if you'd rather ring.
